Amherst Police Department Press Release

On Monday, May 14, 2007 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Amherst Police, Fire and EMS Departments responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 13 near Christian Hill Road. 

A single vehicle, a 1995 Jeep Wrangler had been traveling northbound on Route 13 when the driver lost control of the vehicle, striking a stonewall, trees and a telephone pole before rolling over and coming to a rest on its side in the roadway.

The Jeep was driven by Adam Winn, 31 years old, of Smith Road in Mont Vernon, NH.  Adam Winn was killed from injuries sustained in the crash.  Adam Winn had one passenger in the Jeep, his brother, Jared Winn, 27 years old, of Powers Street, Milford, NH.  Jared Winn was sustained non-specified, non-life threatening injuries. 

The Amherst Police Department is investigating the crash, including whether or not speed and alcohol were factors in the cause of the crash.
